Decision No.799/QD-TTg refers to the Prime Minister's approval of the national REDD action programme in the 2011-2020 period. The document sets out the goals, objectives and tasks of Vietnam's REDD+ policy. Principally the legislation is designed to reduce emissions from LULUCF by setting out the legal framework for pilot REDD+ programmes and activities to be demonstrated.

Decision 419/QĐ -TTg approves the National Action Programme on the Reduction of Greenhouse Gas Emissions through the reduction of Deforestation and Forest Degradation, Sustainable Management of Forest Resources, and Conservation and Enhancement of Forest Carbon Stocks (REDD+) by 2030.
