The bicycle bonus is financial assistance paid, subject to conditions, for the purchase of an electrically assisted bicycle (VAE) or an electric bicycle trailer. The aid also concerns the purchase of a cargo bike (bike adapted for the transport of people or goods at the rear or front of the driver, or to meet the needs of a person with a disability). It was adopted by Order of 29 December 2017 relating to the methods of managing aid for the acquisition and rental of low-polluting vehicles. Attribution criteria and amount of the subsidy are set in the Energy Code's article D251-1 to D-251-13.&nbsp;
