Law 2294 enacted the “National Development Plan 2022-2026: Colombia, a world power for life.” It aims to overcome historical injustices and exclusions, the non-repetition of conflict, a change in our relationship with the environment and a productive transformation based on knowledge and in harmony with nature. This National Development Plan is materialised through 5 axes, including the Productive transformation, internationalisation and climate action. The objective of this axis is to diversify economic activities by leveraging natural resources sustainably, expanding clean energy, and fostering innovation while ensuring harmony with nature and resilience to climate impacts.The law also amends the Law 2169/2021 by creating the Fund for the Promotion of Technological Advancement.Decree 2236/2023 regulates partially 2294/2023 about energy communities and just transition, so that individuals and legal entities can participate in the electricity value chain through the use of:
i. Non-Conventional Renewable Energy Sources (FNCER);
ii. Renewable Fuels;
iii. Distributed Energy Resources.
