Summary

The purpose of these Regulations is to promote the efficient use and conservation of energy in Ghana and mitigate climate change by providing for the minimum energy performance standards, the labelling of and supplementary product information on electric mains-operated clothes washing machines, and the registration of models of such machines. The manufacture, importation, offer for sale, sale, storage, donation, disposable or installation or use of a clothes washing machine that does not meet the stipulated minimum energy performance standards.
