Summary

These Regulations apply to lamps and lumniaries manufactured in or imported into Ghana for public lighting services. These Regulations promote the efficient use and conservation of energy in Ghana, mitigating climate change by providing for minimum energy performance standards, the labelling of and supplementary product information on electric mains-operated lamps and luminaries, and the registration of models of lamps and luminaries. The Regulations also prohibit the manufacture, importation, sale, storage, donation, disposal, installation or use of lamps and luminaries that do not meet the stipulated minimum energy performance standards.
