Summary

Brazil's Cross-cutting Strategy for Just Transition and Climate Justice (ETTJ) examines the effects of the transition on vulnerable populations and groups beyond the dimensions of employment and income, proposing national objectives and guidelines that ensure mitigation and adaptation measures not only prevent the exacerbation of inequalities and vulnerabilities but also promote, to the extent possible, their reduction through the equitable distribution of the benefits of climate action. This strategy has as overarching goal to guide the implementation of the Climate Plan by ensuring the promotion of a just transition and climate justice in order to build a more sustainable and equitable society.
